Every morning father Sergio Michelazzo wakes up at 4 in the morning to make bread. Even today, that he is 86 years old.
This is perhaps the secret of the success of the “Forno dei Michelazzo“, the shop he founded in 1970 in the heart of Valera and which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2020.
Our challenge begins in Montebelluna, a town in the province of Treviso, where in 1952 Sergio Michelazzo’s adventure as a baker began as an employee, but already a child of art who inherited the passion of working bread from his father Mario.
In 1970 the big opportunity: at Valera there was an oven for sale and he arrived with his wife Mirella at the wheel of an old Lancia Appia and ever since their life has been here.
Historic bakery, pastry shop, gastronomy and risto-lunch, has been renewing the atmosphere for some years, transforming itself into an open space with glass walls, and also adding the cafeteria, ice cream parlor and happy hour service: “Magna e Bevi”.
Tradition and innovation: these are the two key words for the success of our store that knows no crisis.
And if Sergio, still very active and able to spurt energy from every pore, has taken care of tradition, his sons Max and Alex, also with over 30 years of experience behind the counter, take care of the innovation.
Our success is constantly growing thanks to continuous evolution … renewing ourselves and embellishing the shop more and more but also lots of training.
Advanced courses with a starred chef such as Antonino Cannavacciuolo, or masters in the art of baking bread with the guru of the “michetta” Piergiorgio Giorilli.
Also enhancing the art of coffee, which in order to be served differently from all the others, you must obtain the Italian Espresso certification, a protocol that allows you to serve and prepare coffee with unmistakable Italian style.
Our shop is popular with families, who organize birthday parties, Holy communions and confirmations here, but it is also appreciated by young people who are at ease for an aperitif with friends.
